Howdy from back home

Postby WormDrowner » Wed Jul 21, 2010 2:54 pm

Hey y'all!

Thought I'd drop a line to say "howdy". Haven't been out fishing in awhile. Been busy settling into the new job. Hope to get out more after Labor day. It's nice to be able to fish 12 months out of the year again! Yes, I know there is ice fishing. No thanks! Here in Texas, we learned that ice belongs in tea, not on our lakes!!

We still haven't seceded (yet!), but I keep hoping! I have one of these http://www.texasflagman.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=21 on my truck.

Y'all be good and please don't elect that idiot Lee Fisher as your senator. It's bad enough your state gave us Sherrod Brown and Dennis Kucinich! Don't make us Texans come up there and declare war on you!! LOL! :-|

WD! Great to hear from you....I was at the rodeo at Steamboat Springs over the Independence Day weekend and supposed that you might be similarly engaged in the Lone Star State. Keep us posted on the fishing down there.

Hey Wormy,

If you're back around Houston you're probably staying in the air conditioning like here in Louisiana. If you like night fishing and stay late enough, there are some big bass available.

I will be at Toledo Bend in 6 weeks or so. I have plans with a guy that has a cabin there for some striper fishing. Maybe I'll get to use a muskie rod!

Watch out for the oil!

Back in the day, my buddies & I would night fish for cats up on Lake Conroe. Too old and grumpy to do that now.

Put my boat in the shop yesterday for several repairs to the outboards. There goes another couple hundred $$.

Striper fishing at TB is supposed to be a blast! I'm think about there or Lake Buchanan later this year.

Went down to Surfside Saturday. Watching the surf fishermen made me wish I had my rods with me.

Y'all take it easy! :-|
